Your conservation contribution

Restoring nature's balance. Thanks to our partnership, Onetai Estate has been able to establish and maintain a predator trapping programme with a perimeter in the Coromandel Forest Park and the property to protect our taonga species from introduced predators such as rats, possums and stoats. Your company's contribution will help to extend the number of trapping lines around the lodge - with the option of getting hands-on too.

Testimonial

Our team retreat was absolutely unforgettable! The peaceful setting at Onetai Estate, right on the edge of the Coromandel Forest Park, gave us all a break from the usual office space and let us reconnect with each other—and with nature. Sitting under the native canopy, with the sounds and feel of the ngahere all around us, was truly something else. It brought out some great conversations and insightful thinking .

The retreat was planned perfectly, balancing outdoor fun with some personal and team-building time. We kicked off with a leadership and strengths session at the table, then we went on a guided hike with Kylie, leading us to a hidden waterfall. The hāngi and bush survival workshop with Ash Buddy was eye opening with the team learning so much.

Everything was spot on—from the accommodation to the thoughtful way conservation was woven into the experience. Knowing that part of our retreat supports New Zealand’s unique ecosystems added another layer of meaning. This place is perfect if you’re after something different to bring your team together, step away from the daily grind, and return with fresh energy.

Your hosts at the Southern Coromandel Bush Boardroom

Kylie Rae

Nature & Nosh owner Kylie Rae's love for the outdoors was cemented early in life, being brought up rurally in a tramping-loving family. After a couple of years spent hiking around the world, Kylie and her husband moved back to Aotearoa and set up Nature & Nosh Tours - a tribute to the two things they love most, hiking and food!

Not content to sit a desk day after day, Kylie forged her own path, creating meaningful experiences in the space where nature, science and wellbeing meet. With over a decade of experience in business management, conference and event organising, Kylie is focussed on designing and running corporate experiences for your company like no other; with wellbeing and nature at the core.

Robyn Richardson

Outdoor lover and natural host, Robyn has a background in recreation and events planning. Mother of four, her varied experience also includes catering and environmental education.

Robyn's love of walking started when her father would take her tramping into the Kaimas and the Coromandel. In her happy place with her walking boots on in some native bush or out fishing, doing yoga or cooking. Robyn adds her magic and exuberant self to everything she does.

Origin story and shout out

Huge shout out and thanks to the team and legends at Sentinel Homes Waikato who purpose-built our Southern Coromandel Bush Boardroom table. Having been one of the original teams to experience our Maungatautari Bush Boardroom but outgrown it, they wanted a space and larger table to bring their team regularly - it turns out we had just the spot for them.
